Farrowsure Gold Swine Vaccine
Description
Farrowsure Gold Vaccine for Swine is given to protect sows and gilts from costly breeding herd diseases because it aids in preventing Porcine Parvovirus (PPV), Erysipelas, and the following five strains of Leptospirosis:
- Leptospira canicola
- L. grippotyphosa
- L. hardjo
- L. icterohaemorrhagiae
- L. pomona
The Farrowsure Gold vaccine contains two adjuvants, including Amphigen®, which enhances the immune response using the animal’s natural defense system to fight disease.
The primary vaccination should be in a two dose form, three to five weeks apart with the second dose administered two to four weeks prior to breeding. Healthy gilts however should receive the second dose as near as possible to 14 days prior to breeding.
Re-vaccination with a single dose is recommended prior to subsequent breedings and boars should be revaccinated semiannually.
An 18-week duration of immunity following vaccination has been demonstrated against erysipelas in swine by using Farrowsure Gold vaccine as directed.
