Porcine Circovirus Vaccine, Type 2, Killed Baculovirus Vector

Mycoplasma Hyopneumoniae Bacterin

This product has been shown effective for the vaccination of healthy swine 3 days or 3 weeks of age or older against Porcine Circovirus Type 2 and Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae. Duration of immunity has been shown to be at least 20 weeks for Porcine Circovirus Type 2. Duration of immunity for Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae has not been established. This product has been shown effective against viremia and reduction in viral shedding and lymphoid infection caused by Porcine Circovirus Type 2 and lung lesions caused by Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae. Composition: This product contains a subunit vaccine based on Porcine Circovirus Type 2a.

ADMINISTRATION and DOSAGE OPTIONS: Shake well. Warm the vaccine to room temperature immediately prior to administration. Use aseptic technique. OPTION 1: Vaccinate pigs intramuscularly at 3 weeks of age or older with a single 2 mL dose. OPTION 2: Vaccinate pigs intramuscularly as early as 3 days of age with a 1 mL dose followed by a second 1 mL dose 3 weeks later.

CAUTIONS: Store refrigerated at 2°-8°C (35°- 46°F). Do not freeze. Shake well before using. Do not mix with other products. This product has not been tested in pregnant animals. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. The vaccine may induce significant localized adverse reactions, particularly following booster vaccination. Localized reactions resolve 1-35 days following vaccination. If allergic reaction occurs, treat with epinephrine. Caution should be used to avoid injecting your own fingers, hands, or other body parts. Accidental injection can cause serious local reactions. In case of human exposure, contact a physician.

PRESERVATIVES: Gentamicin and thimerosal.
