Factrel Injectable for Cattle

Be the first to review this product

Factrel injectable for cattle treats ovarian follicular cysts in lactating dairy cows, beef cows, and replacement dairy and beef heifers and is used with Lutalyse to synchronize estrus cycles to allow fixed-time artificial insemination (FTAI) in lactating dairy cows.

For the treatment of ovarian follicular cysts, administration of 2 mL of Factrel injection as a single intramuscular injection is used.

In order to synchronize estrus while using Lutalyse, administer 2 to 4 mL of Factrel (100-200 mcg gonadorelin) per cow as an intramuscular injection in a treatment regimen with the following framework:

  1. Administer initial Factrel dose (2-4 mL) at Day 0
  2. Administer Lutalyse (25 mg) 6-8 days after.
  3. Administer second Factrel dose (2-4 mL) 30 to 72 hours later.
  4. Perform FTAI 0 to 24 hours following second dose of Factrel, or inseminate cows on detected estrus using standard herd practices.

No milk or slaughter withdrawal period needed.
