Bio-Mycin® 200® (oxytetracycline injection) is a sterile, ready-to-use solution of the broad spectrum antibiotic oxytetracycline by injection and is intended for use in the treatment of the following diseases in beef cattle, dairy cattle and swine due to oxytetracycline susceptible organisms:

  • Pneumonia/Shipping fever (Pasteurella spp. / Haemophilus spp).
  • Infectious Bovine Keratoconjunctivitis (pinkeye) caused by Moraxella bovis.
  • Foot-Rot and Diphtheria (Fusobacterium necrophorum)
  • Bacterial Enteritis (scours) caused by Escherichia coli.
  • Wooden Tongue (Actinobacillus lignieresii)
  • Leptospirosis (Leptospira pomona)
  • Infections/acute metritis (staphylococci and streptococci)

  • Swine:
  • Bacterial enteritis (scours, colibacillosis) caused by Escherichia coli.
  • Pneumonia (Pasteurella multocida)
  • Leptospirosis (Leptospira pomona)

  • In sows, Bio-Mycin 200 is indicated as an aid in the control of infectious enteritis (baby pig scours, colibacillosis) in suckling pigs caused by Escherichia coli.

    Features & Specifications



    • A single dosage of BIO-MYCIN 200 may be used to treat shipping fever and pinkeye in calves and yearlings where where repeated restraint is inadvisable.
    • BIO-MYCIN 200 contains 200 mg/mL of oxytetracycline in a unique, patented carrier to treat disease in beef and dairy cattle and swine.
    • Approved for lactating and non-lactating dairy cattle and all beef cattle.
    • Therapeutic blood levels for 72 hours.
    • Formulated to minimize injection sting.
    • Sub-Q, IM, or IV administration.


    • Store at controlled room temperature, 15°-25°C (59°-77°F).
    • Exposure to colder temperatures may cause solution cloudiness. Gently warm the product to restore.
    • Do not use for more than 4 days.
    • Do not inject more than 10 mL per site intra-muscularly in mature cattle or 5 mL per site intra-muscularly in swine.
    • Discontinue treatment 28 days prior to slaughter of swine and cattle.
    • Milk taken from animals during treatment and for 96 hours after the last treatment must not be used for food.
